Each Sol e Brumas piece is crafted by hand, being original and unique in the Azores and in the world.
The production technique results from an interpretation of traditional patchwork from the Azores – a technique which mixes fabrics with an infinite number of patterns, shapes, colours and various stitches, known ascrazy "crazy patchwork” or “crazy Azorean work”.
On average, it takes at least a day to produce a hat.
The end product is the result of the time and dedication of the artisan who assembles, cuts, moulds with pins, tacks and finally sews the strips of fabric.
